RECIPE (fast): Smoothie for Anti-inflammatory, anti-histamine

Here’s a simple way to deal with ongoing inflammation.

I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my knees lately. It’s complicated because it’s certainly about muscle tension (I’ve had high muscle tension for a long time). But, there’s a new component as well, and this week I finally grasped that it may be a new sign of my ongoing inflammation. The epiphany was a good one, when I realized that I know something I can do about it, because my experiences this year with Angioedema (caused by food reactions) led me to read a lot (and even purchase a couple of cookbooks) of Yasmina Ykelenstam at

The Parsley Smoothie

If I got one take-away from Yasmina, it was the Parsley Smoothie.

I use it every day when I have Angioedema or hives.

I’m going to be taking this a few times per week now and see how often I need to take it to deal with my knee inflammation.

Making a Parsley Smoothie

Fresh pear or peaches, peeled OR frozen peaches (I try to alternate because of my propensity to sensitize to foods)

Handful of parsley leaves. I take off most of the stems.

ice (helps crush the material, but if it make it too cold for you to drink you can certainly eliminate it)


Blend in blender.


Add stevia powder if you need it sweeter.
