One of the most moving to me as a parent was this one by Ben Carson, who was running for president last year. (Who is now wishing he had made it further for this election?) His personal story brought tears to my eyes, and should bolster the self-confidence of all caretakers–those of us who do the unpaid work that keeps families, fed, healthy and nurtured.

-Dr. Ben Carson, past candidate for President of the United States of America

You could check them out at the library on disc. That’s what I did.

Perfect listening in the car with kids
I had my kids listen to "Be Cool to the Pizza Delivery Dude." I hope to share more of them as they grow up.

They were all recorded by the person who wrote his or her personal essay. (Einstein’s was lost, so it was re-read by an NPR personality.)

You can also get them on a zip drive from NPR.
